it's raining pinterest

*
photo :: found on pinterest
all plans were cancelled on account of rain. i am taking advantage of not having to rush to get ready by poking around pinterest. thehobbit & i were looking at photos of other people's rain, instead of looking out the window at our own. (we had already ooh'd & ahh'd out the window this morn.) the above photo was my favorite from the collection.

here are a few more pinteresty (real word) things that have me swoony:

* a dandelion hot air balloon with chimney sweeps? yes, please! here.

* i want this party dress ever so badly.

* this out-of-doors bar is the prettiest i have seen.

* i cannot stop going back to stare at this tattoo. have i ever chatted with you about my alice in wonderland obsession?

there is so much more to share with you, but i am out of time. if you like the things i pinned, you are welcome to look at my boards. enjoy!

thursday things - easter

*

i do have a perfectly good reason for not blogging as regularly as i had promised - pinterest. though i tried to resist; & did so for quite some time; eventually i succumbed. the little time i have for goofing online i now spend on pinterest, frantically searching for more & more fabulousness (real word). i am a pinteraddict.

here are some easter fabulousnesses (also real word) that i found on pinterest:

* bunny shirts & chalk-paint buckets - no pastel colors!!!

* paper ornaments - also not in pastel shades.

* egg garland - an excellent use for those skeins of floss you bought, even though you knew you would never get around to embroidering that pillow/tote/blanket/etc.

* bunny garland - i love the simplicity of this garland.

* confetti eggs game - a gal who suggests hiding a raw egg, to "provide some real motivation for running from the egg smashers coming toward you",  is my kind of gal.

* white party - my inspiration for this year's easter/passover gathering.

time for me to peek on pinterest run errands. have a good day, do!

recipe review - dinner rolls

*

i have no idea why, but i am the world's worst baker. this cannot be the first time you have heard me say as much. recently i decided i to master bread of some sort. easy for you perhaps, quantum physics for me. actually, quantum physics i do get.

all attempts have been failures. not always salvageable either. i believe, after tasting the last loaf, manylman suggested we buy pizza for dinner.

imagine my surprise tonight, when i successfully made the above pull-apart dinner rolls! feeling a bit dizzy, are you? well sit down my one & only reader, because there is more. that (blurrytakenwiththehobbit'sitouch) photo up there? that. is. mine. i know! it's as if a more together version of me has taken over. it's pod-kat!

they were quite delicious, in case you were wondering. the only thing i changed was the type of flour; i used organic unbleached all-purpose. i don't like whole wheat. i'd like to try them with garlic powder & parsley added to the dough. yum.

these rolls are baked in muffin tins. i want to make tiny ones, in my mini tins, but am not sure of the baking time. for smaller rolls do i bake them less? how much less? i'd love advice from you people who do manage to successfully bake on a regular basis.
